About

I design and build heirloom quality furniture and wood products in my southern California workshop.

Materials & Finishes

I work primarily with domestic hardwoods, often from salvage sources such as fallen trees.

As wood is an organic material there will always be variance in color, grain and features. The photos shown in my shop listings are an example of what you will receive, but not identical. Each piece is one of a kind. I’m happy to provide photos of stock or material on hand if you have preferences about the material used in your piece. For custom furniture, I’ll go over details such as lumber selection, tone and finish with you before I begin building your piece. As my client, your input is welcome in all aspects of the design and build. Please feel free to reach out with questions about my work or my custom ordering process.

Whenever possible, I use natural, non-toxic finishes. Each piece will have a finish appropriate for its intended use, as specified in each product’s description. If you would like to use an alternative finish, please contact me with a custom inquiry prior to making an order.

Lead Times

Most work on my site is made to order, and each item will have a specific lead time. For small product, lead times are applicable for orders of four items or less, but if your order is larger than four items the lead time will be greater. Contact me for an estimate on lead time if this is the case. Lead times for furniture are applicable to that item only. If you are ordering multiple items, contact me for an estimate on lead time.

Care & Maintenance

Care instructions specific to your order are provided with each shipment. The work I make is designed to last generations. Proper care ensures your piece retains its beauty and functionality over a lifetime of use.
